Anvil

About 2 weeks ago I got to watch a movie called Anvil! The Story of Anvil. I knew that it was about the band Anvil of course, but what I didnt know is how great a movie it was going to bed.

First of all I have never owned an Anvil cd nor have I even heard one song by them up until I saw this movie. I dont know why that is either. It could possibly be due to the fact that I really havent heard too many people talk about them so I figured they wouldnt be a band I would be into. How wrong I was to think that! They are a great band. Yes some of the lyrics are a little odd at times but the music is great. Drummer Robb Reiner is great and to still be playing this kind of music in their fifties just amazes me. I see Lars from Metallica saying he doesnt know if they will be able to do what they do in their fifties. If Anvil can do it Metallica should be just fine. In some instances I would say that Anvil just might be heavier and faster than Metallica.

If you get the chance, go out and see this movie you wont regret it. Whether you listen to Metal music or not this is definetly a must see! Also if you werent an Anvil fan before you will be just like me.

Update!

I havent updated in a while, so I added a bunch of new cds and some new bands I recently got. I will be uploading my want list soon so keep an eye out. You just might have what im looking for =o)

New Stuff- Grand Magus

I recently got into a band called Grand Magus. They are a 3 piece Doom Metal band from Sweden. Their newest album is called Iron Will (shown in picture) and its great! Its Very heavy and the vocalist JB has a really great strong voice, somewhat similiar to Chris Cornell at times. Im not really into Doom but Wolf's Return (their previous album) and Iron Will have more of a modern metal sort of sound to it but they still have thier signature Doom sound mixed in and makes an enjoyable listen. They have put out 4 full length albums: Grand Magus, Monument, Wolf's Return and Iron Will. All of them are a must buy. If you like bands like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, or Candlemass then you wont be disapointed!

Finally Done!

I finally finished putting up my cd collection. It didnt take as long as I thought it was going to. I might change some things or add something later on but for now im done. I'll update it when I get something new. Leave some comments let me know what you think. Thats all for now!
